Day-by-Day Itinerary

Day 1 — Airport to Negombo

Upon arrival at the airport, meet your representative and enjoy a smooth transfer to Negombo, a charming coastal town located close to the airport. Check in to your hotel, relax after your journey, and enjoy some leisure time exploring the nearby beach and surroundings.

Day 2 — Negombo to Wilpattu National Park & Anuradhapura

Travel towards Wilpattu National Park, Sri Lanka's largest national park and a renowned wildlife destination. Enjoy a safari through its forests, grasslands and natural lakes, with opportunities to spot elephants, deer, crocodiles, sloth bears and a variety of birdlife. Continue to Anuradhapura and settle in for the evening.

Day 3 — Anuradhapura Ancient City

Spend the day exploring the magnificent Ancient City of Anuradhapura, one of Sri Lanka's most important historical and religious sites. Discover ancient stupas, temples, monasteries and sacred sites, including the revered Sri Maha Bodhi. Enjoy the atmosphere of this remarkable ancient capital before returning to your accommodation.

Day 4 — Anuradhapura to Jaffna

depart Anuradhapura and travel north to Jaffna, a culturally distinctive region of Sri Lanka. Upon arrival, check in to your hotel and enjoy some leisure time. Take the opportunity to experience the local atmosphere, traditional Tamil culture and cuisine of the Jaffna Peninsula.

Day 5 — Jaffna City Tour & Nallur Kovil

Enjoy a full Jaffna city tour, exploring the city's historic landmarks and cultural attractions. Visit Nallur Kandaswamy Kovil, one of the most significant Hindu temples in Sri Lanka, renowned for its beautiful architecture and religious importance. Continue exploring Jaffna's unique heritage, local streets and surrounding attractions before returning to the hotel.

Day 6 — Jaffna to Dambulla

Depart Jaffna and travel south towards Dambulla. Visit the famous Dambulla Cave Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage Site featuring impressive cave shrines, ancient Buddhist murals and numerous Buddha statues. Explore the temple complex and its surrounding cultural heritage before settling in for the night.

Day 7 — Dambulla to Kandy

Continue from Dambulla to Kandy, travelling through the scenic central region of Sri Lanka. In Kandy, visit the sacred Temple of the Tooth Relic, one of the country's most important Buddhist pilgrimage sites. In the evening, enjoy a vibrant traditional Kandyan Cultural Dance performance, showcasing Sri Lankan music, costumes and traditional dances.

Day 8 — Kandy to Colombo

depart Kandy and travel towards Colombo, Sri Lanka's commercial capital. Enjoy the scenic journey from the central hills to the western lowlands. Upon arrival, check in to your hotel and spend the remainder of the day at leisure, with an opportunity to explore Colombo or relax at the hotel.

Day 9 — Colombo to Airport & Departure

Enjoy your final morning in Sri Lanka before checking out and transferring to Bandaranaike International Airport for your onward flight. Your Sri Lankan cultural, historical and wildlife journey comes to an end.
